Help the Homeless Challenge
Erie Gives 2025
We present the help the homeless challenge during this year's Erie Give Day on August 12th, 2025 (12 midnight to 12 midnight). This challenge is based on the premise that there is no better way to understand the needs of Erie's homeless population than to experience a night "sleeping on the streets."
We challenge you to help St. Patrick's Haven raise $40,000 during this year’s Erie Gives Day. If this goal is met several board members will spend the outside near St. Patrick's Haven to closely replicate the homeless experience. While one night can never full convey the realities of being homeless, this one-night experience may provide insights into the challenges they may face.
Why $40,000?
St. Patrick's Haven had been providing shelter for over 40 years. When you support St. Patrick’s Haven through Erie Gives, a percentage of your gift is matched, and your donation helps us provide shelter for homeless men.
St. Patrick's Haven will share the outcome of the experience homelessness challenge with the community through the website and Facebook page.
