Listening turns to Action

Avery remembered the conversation Betsy Wiest had with her class about homelessness when she was a student at St. Gregory’s School.  Now as an upperclassman at Mercyhurst Prep, she put those memories into action and coordinated a Blessing Bag Project for our guests at St. Patrick’s Haven. Her Blessing Bags contained items such as: socks, gloves, hat, handwarmers, small sized toiletries and snacks – things our guests request daily.  Thank you, Avery, for listening, for remembering and then working to make a difference in the lives of the men we serve.  You are definitely a “Haven Angel”!
